I am an experienced counsellor and a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and listed on the Professional Standards Authority register.

What I can help with

The way in which I work as a counsellor means I can draw on a number of approaches that can help people work through whatever it is they bring to counselling – covering a range of life events and difficulties. Whether you wish to work through a specific situation; a current difficulty or perhaps wish to explore how your own personal history is impacting in the here and now – then I can provide a safe space in which you can do this.

Having worked extensively in mental health services within primary care and third sector crisis support, has enabled me to help many people affected by historical trauma.  For some, the impact of historical trauma can be “carried” throughout the years; for others the effects can be  experienced many years later and can impact upon people in the “here and now” in a number of different ways.
